The Occupational English Test is an English language test for healthcare professionals recognised by various regulatory healthcare bodies. It assesses the language communication skills of healthcare professionals who wish to register and practise in an English-speaking environment.The OET (Occupational English Test) is a language assessment test designed for healthcare professionals, which was initially created for countries such as Australia and New Zealand.OET, the English language test for healthcare professionals, will be available at a new Canadian venue from August 2019. OET is an Australian-developed English language test that assesses the language proficiency of healthcare professionals. 


OET on paper. It will take approximately three hours for the written tests, and 20 minutes for the speaking test. You must be available for a full day to complete the test.All grades in both sittings are above grade C+, and. you achieve at least a grade C+ in the writing section and at least a grade B in the reading, listening and speaking sections in either of the two test sittings.The four sub-tests that make up the OET are reported on a scale from 0 to 500 in ten-point increments (e.g. 350, 360, 370 etc). The numerical score will be mapped to a separate letter grade for each sub-test ranging from A (highest) to E (lowest). There is no overall grade for OET.There is no passing or failing grade for OET, but most boards and councils require a score of at least 350 in order to consider a candidate for employment. To achieve this, candidates would need to perform well in all five of the criteria for each subtest.It is a proficiency test which evaluates your English language skills in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. ... How to study for the OET test at home

  • Book some one-on-one tutorials with an expert E2Language tutor.
  • Attend E2Language OET live classes.
  • Do the E2Language OET mini-mock test.
  • Get feedback on your OET writing.
  • Expose yourself to as much English as possible.

  • Learn about the test overview and structure. It is important to feel comfortable with the test content.
